Listen to Aretha and Grace discuss our intention behind Indoctri-Nation and the Teach our History campaign. The environment that has created racism and stereotypes, and a lack of safe spaces for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students within the Australian school system. Every year there are thousands of students graduating into the world with no knowledge of the land they live on.

We call on The Hon Dan Tehan MP, AITSL, and Schools to support teachers to teach our history.

Our objectives for action are:

1. Schools be held accountable for the mandatory teaching of Indigenous history and perspectives across the curriculum.

2. It must be mandatory for teachers, principals and support staff to receive cultural training as part of their annual PD.

3. Schools prioritise Indigenous governance over the teaching of accurate and local histories.
